I have added a new portfolio with landscape photos. Check it out – https://www.cjr.se/portfolio/portfolio-landscapes/
What a week!
I could never imagined that the images of the female bear with three cubs could get so much attention. Four swedish newspapers published the images and I have also received some calls from foreign newspapers.
That’s the reward for all the time I put into photography.
In my mind it is the photographer who makes the images, not the camera. But I’m impressed by what the Nikon D3 can do. The lens I used, AF-I 400/2,8 weighs around 6 kilograms and I had to set the ISO to 2500 to get fast shutter speed and a sharp image.
There is some noise in the image but it’s not so bad.
Check out the video from the evning when we meet the bear family. Stefan Silverhall made the video.
Better late then never….
Usually I try to select one image for “image of the month”. I experienced two seasons, therefore two images.
I spent a week in the mountains. Sunny and warm days and cold nights. The image above is made in Grantonsskalet, Vilhelmina. To the left Grönfjäll (1376 m). It was a cold and windy sunset.
In Åsele the snow had melted and the birds starting to arrive from the south.
I used Nikon D3, 24 / 3.5 tilt & shift, 400 / 2.8.
I visited a friend on Wednesday. When we sat and drank a cop coffee, I discovered a framed image on the wall. It’s the image the on the left.
The photograph was taken about a week before christmas in 2007. Stefan wanted a framed picture of him self together with his dog, Iza. Usually I feel uncomfortable to photograph people, especially strangers. Stefan and I have been friends a long time so it was no problem.
The image is one of my favorites and it’s looks best mounted and framed.
